Ooh, 2011. A new year – a new decade – cometh. I think I’ve mentioned this before, but I have a policy of challenging myself to do at least one thing outside my comfort zone every year. This often involves taking a course. Over the last ten years I’ve dabbled in guitar, fiddle, snowboarding, Spanish, hand-drumming, and various other hobbies that have added to the clutter in my closet and at times driven my neighbours crazy.
I’m not sure what I’ll take up this year. But in case you too are a dedicated life-long learner, here are a few courses you might want to look into. Writing courses. Taught by yours truly.
Starting in January, I’ll be teaching two courses at Vancouver Community College: The Personal Narrative (Tuesdays starting Jan. 25th) and Writing for Children (Thursdays starting Jan. 27th). My courses are always non-intimidating and social, with a strong emphasis on workshops and group discussions.
Got questions? Contact me! I’d love to hear from you.
